Valuation de la ressource territoriale et formes de circularité : la labellisation dans la filière forêt-bois française (Alpes, Jura, Vosges)

Abstract : The growing numbers of territorial labels in the wood & forestry industry appears as a response to the increased and combined pressure of a globalised economy and to social and environmental demands that altogether condition sustainable development. Starting from recent developments in territorial economy, we broadened the question of the specification of the wood resource by analysing the conditions of its valuation. Through the study of labelling approaches in the Alps, the Vosges and the Jura mountains, we analysed the value portfolios built up and mobilised collectively, and highlighted the different forms of circularity in link with them. We showed that wood labels were more and more built up based on territoriality values, through the activation of different forms of proximity. These still quite recent approaches stand up as counter-standards; based on territorialised alternatives, they question the dominant productive model.
